Traditional Italian Meatball RecipeThis recipe is perfect for children, but adults will also like them. Take the time to make these delicious meatballs for your next meal.

Ingredients:
1 pound spaghetti
½ red onion
chopped 1 ½
cloves garlic
1 sprig of Rosemary & Thyme each
2 lb. ground beef (85% lean)
2 cups bread
1 cup milk
Salt and Pepper
3 tbsp olive oil
2 pounds good quality canned tomatoes
2 tablespoons teaspoon tomato paste 1 tsp

Beef Stock
20 fresh basil leaves
4 tbsp olive oil
Salt & Pepper

Method: Start by placing a large pot of water to boil with a generous amount of salt. Chop the red onion and garlic into small dices, keep half of these for later in the recipe. Chop the rosemary and thyme and add roughly half the onions and garlic; Combine breadcrumbs and milk in small bowl; Combine the onion, garlic, mixed with rosemary and thyme bread crumbs soaked , salt, pepper and ground meat in a large bowl. Mix very thoroughly until the mixture is well incorporated; Put in the pan on the stove and add the remaining onion slices and half the garlic and sauté lightly for 2 minutes until they are tender and translucent, but did not take all the color out. Using a blender or food processor, combine the tomato mixture and add a little sugar, tomato paste and fresh beef broth until it is smooth; Return to sauce pan and carefully place the meatballs in the sauce and place over low heat and simmer for 20 minutes As the meatballs simmer add the pasta to the boiling water and stir every 3 minutes to ensure that the pasta does not stick together When the pasta is cooked strain and serve family-style cast olive oil in a large bowl; Shred basil leaves in tomato sauce and meatballs and spoon sauce over pasta; Chow down!
